Description

Tender, flaky salmon topped with a delicious, homemade, sweet, and tangy teriyaki sauce and cooked to perfection in your air fryer. From fridge to plate in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 6-8oz. fillets of salmon
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • Optional: green onions, sliced, for garnish
  • Optional: sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the soy sauce, ¼ cup of water, honey, vegetable oil, sesame oil, vinegar, garlic, and cornstarch to a small saucepan over medium heat.  Stir over heat for 5 minutes, until the cornstarch is all dissolved and the mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.  Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel then spread a thin layer of teriyaki sauce on each fillet.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 390℉ for 5 minutes.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray then place the salmon inside.  Air fry at 390℉ for 10 minutes.  When the salmon is finished, it should be cooked through in the center and slightly charred at the edges. The internal temperature should be 145°.
  5. Pour the remaining teriyaki sauce over the cooked salmon. Garnish with sliced green onion and sesame seeds.
