Description

This homemade cranberry sauce is the perfect tart side for your holiday meal. You only need four ingredients, and it’s way fresher than anything from a can. It’s amazing as a Thanksgiving side dish or even as a dessert topping!

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh or frozen cranberries
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Place a medium sauce pot on the stove over medium-low heat.
  2. Add cranberries, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and orange juice.
  3. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
  4. Cook for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until cranberries are soft and the mixture has thickened.
  5. Remove from heat. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

If you have leftover cranberry sauce, store it in an airtight container in the fridge. It should last for about a week. To reheat, simply transfer it to a saucepan and heat on low until warm.
