Description
This homemade cranberry sauce is the perfect tart side for your holiday meal. You only need four ingredients, and it’s way fresher than anything from a can. It’s amazing as a Thanksgiving side dish or even as a dessert topping!
Ingredients
- 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh or frozen cranberries
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
Instructions
- Place a medium sauce pot on the stove over medium-low heat.
- Add cranberries, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and orange juice.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
- Cook for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until cranberries are soft and the mixture has thickened.
- Remove from heat. Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
If you have leftover cranberry sauce, store it in an airtight container in the fridge. It should last for about a week. To reheat, simply transfer it to a saucepan and heat on low until warm.
