Description

Mouthwatering, juicy, and tender boneless, skinless chicken breasts are brined, seasoned, and baked to perfection in your oven. 


Ingredients

  • 3 cups water, warm
  • 3 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 8oz each)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Add the water and salt to a large bowl or container. Mix until the salt is dissolved.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bowl, completely submerging in the brining solution. Cover and place it in the fridge to let the chicken brine for 1 – 2 hours.
  3. While the chicken is brining, make the seasoning mixture.  Add the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and pepper to a small bowl and mix the combine.
  4. At the end of the brining time, preheat the oven to 425.
  5. Remove the chicken breasts from the brining solution and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  6. Use a ziptop bag or a bowl and coat the chicken with the oil and the seasonings. Be sure to get the chicken breasts well coated with the seasoning.
  7. Place the chicken on a sheet pan or baking dish and bake for 16-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. 
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes. The carryover cooking will bring the chicken to 165°F without overcooking.
