Description
Fresh broccoli is tossed with simple seasonings and oven-roasted to perfection, then topped off with a spritz of lemon and grated Parmesan cheese. An awesome side dish for any meal!
Ingredients
- 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets (around 1 ½ lb)
- 3 tbs olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbs fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Lemon wedges
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Place the broccoli florets in a bowl and toss them with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the broccoli in a single layer without overcrowding.
- Roast for 15 minutes, until the edges are crisp and browned, and the broccoli is tender. (If you like crispier edges, leave in oven another 5 minutes or until desired doneness.)
- Remove from the oven, squeeze lemon juice over the broccoli, sprinkle with grated Parmesan and crushed red pepper flakes, and toss gently to coat.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately.
