Description

Fresh broccoli is tossed with simple seasonings and oven-roasted to perfection, then topped off with a spritz of lemon and grated Parmesan cheese. An awesome side dish for any meal!


Ingredients

  • 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets (around 1 ½ lb)
  • 3 tbs olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbs fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Place the broccoli florets in a bowl and toss them with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the broccoli in a single layer without overcrowding.
  4. Roast for 15 minutes, until the edges are crisp and browned, and the broccoli is tender. (If you like crispier edges, leave in oven another 5 minutes or until desired doneness.)
  5. Remove from the oven, squeeze lemon juice over the broccoli, sprinkle with grated Parmesan and crushed red pepper flakes, and toss gently to coat.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately.
