A holiday favorite that everyone loves! This sweet potato casserole features creamy sweet potatoes topped with a crunchy brown sugar streusel for the perfect bite.
Ingredients
- ½ cup milk
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla paste
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups boiled sweet potatoes, peeled
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup flour
- 3 tablespoons butter, cold and cubed
- 2 cups marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, combine milk, melted butter, salt, cinnamon, vanilla paste, and eggs. Beat until well incorporated.
- Add sweet potatoes to the bowl and mash until smooth and fully mixed.
- Pour the mixture into a 7×10-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, and cold cubed butter. Use your fingers to mix until coarse crumbles form.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the sweet potatoes. Top with marshmallows.
- Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the marshmallows are toasted.
Notes
To store your sweet potato casserole, keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. You can also assemble the entire dish ahead of time and refrigerate it for 1-2 days before baking.
