Description

This Grilled Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce is restaurant-worthy but so easy to make! Golden crust, zesty, buttery flavor, and ready in 20 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds salmon
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, salt, black pepper, and (if using) honey and smoked paprika until well combined.
  2. Brush the lemon butter mixture generously over the salmon, coating all sides.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the salmon on the grill and cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Flip gently and cook for another 4 minutes or until it reaches the internal temperature of 125°F to 130°F. Pro tip: Don’t move the fish while it’s grilling; this helps prevent sticking.
  5. Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Optional: Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Your grilled salmon will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 3 days, but it’s best enjoyed within 1-2 days. To store, let the salmon cool completely before placing it in an airtight container or wrapping it tightly in foil.
