Ingredients
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper mix
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the flour and whisk continuously, cooking until the mixture turns a light golden brown (this makes a roux).
- Slowly whisk in the chicken stock, scraping the bottom and sides of the pan to loosen any bits.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring often, until it thickens into a gravy.
- Stir in the salt and pepper mix and the thyme.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve warm.
Notes
If you have leftover turkey gravy, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm it up in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through.
