Description

Get that classic Thanksgiving gravy taste effortlessly! This recipe uses just five ingredients for a rich, flavorful gravy you’ll want to pour on everything.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the flour and whisk continuously, cooking until the mixture turns a light golden brown (this makes a roux).
  3. Slowly whisk in the chicken stock, scraping the bottom and sides of the pan to loosen any bits.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring often, until it thickens into a gravy.
  5. Stir in the salt and pepper mix and the thyme.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and serve warm.

Notes

If you have leftover turkey gravy, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm it up in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through.
