This Best Damn Turkey Gravy has those classic Thanksgiving flavors you know and love, using just five simple ingredients. It’s the easiest way to achieve the depth of flavor of a long-simmered gravy, without all the extra work. You’ll want to drizzle it on everything!

Delicious & Easy Turkey Gravy Recipe

To me, turkey gravy is the most underrated item on the Thanksgiving menu. It may not be the star of the show, but it ties everything together and adds that extra touch of savory goodness to each bite. And guess what? You don’t need Turkey drippings to make a delicious gravy!

This homemade gravy uses chicken stock, butter, and flour as the base. It can be easily customized to your liking with herbs and spices, although I kept it traditional with a salt and pepper mix and some thyme.

Get ready to drown your plate in this stuff!

Ingredients for the best damn turkey gravy.

    Made with 5 Ingredients

    • Chicken stock: The liquid base, giving our easy gravy recipe a rich, savory foundation.
    • Butter: Adds a silky texture and decadent flavor.
    • Flour: Our thickening agent, ensuring a perfectly smooth consistency.
    • Salt and pepper mix: Essential seasonings to get that famously great flavor!
    • Dried thyme: A classic herb that brings warmth and aromatic depth to the gravy.

How to Make the Best Turkey Gravy Recipe

Step 1: Start by melting the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. This is the first step to good gravy!

Step 2: Whisk in the flour and keep stirring until it turns a light golden brown. This is your roux and the base for that perfect consistency.

Step 3: Slowly pour in the chicken stock while whisking, making sure to scrape up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan.

Step 5: Stir in the salt and pepper mix and the thyme.
