Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped Oreos (5-6 cookies), plus some more for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉. Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar. Then add the egg and vanilla and whisk to combine.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Use a spatula to fold the ingredients together until you have a smooth, thick batter.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread in an even layer, making sure it reaches all of the edges of the pan. Top with extra chopped oreos and chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are golden-brown and the center is set.
- Let the blondies cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving!
