Description

Get ready to drool! Make the most mouthwatering, ooey-gooey GIANT chocolate chip skillet cookie that’s perfect for sharing with family and friends!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips (your favorite kind)
  • Cooking spray, for greasing the skillet
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350℉ and grease a 10-inch oven-safe skillet (cast iron is best).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.  Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.  Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla and mix again until combined
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and fold them together until just combined.  Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold the chocolate chips into the dough.  Transfer the dough to the greased skillet and press it down in an even layer.
  6. Bake for 23-28 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the center of the cookie is set.
  7. Once the cookie is finished baking, let it cool for 10-15 minutes. Slice and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
