Description

Get ready for the ultimate party appetizer! These Ground Beef Queso Sliders feature savory ground beef with diced tomatoes and onions, drenched in a creamy Velveeta cheese sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup cubed Velveeta cheese
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian rolls
  • ½ cup sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked (165°F). Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add diced onion and cook for 5 minutes, until softened.
  4. Stir in Velveeta cheese, diced tomatoes, and remaining butter. Cook until cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the pan, add salt and pepper, and mix well.
  6. Lightly spray a 9×12-inch baking dish or sheet pan with nonstick spray.
  7. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves connected.
  8. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the pan. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the rolls, then top with sliced green onions.
  9. Add the top half of the rolls and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the buns are toasted and golden brown.
  10. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Store your sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, I recommend reheating the Hawaiian buns and filling separately.
