Description
Get ready for the ultimate party appetizer! These Ground Beef Queso Sliders feature savory ground beef with diced tomatoes and onions, drenched in a creamy Velveeta cheese sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup cubed Velveeta cheese
- 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian rolls
- ½ cup sliced green onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked (165°F). Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add diced onion and cook for 5 minutes, until softened.
- Stir in Velveeta cheese, diced tomatoes, and remaining butter. Cook until cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Return the cooked beef to the pan, add salt and pepper, and mix well.
- Lightly spray a 9×12-inch baking dish or sheet pan with nonstick spray.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves connected.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls in the pan. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the rolls, then top with sliced green onions.
- Add the top half of the rolls and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the buns are toasted and golden brown.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
Store your sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, I recommend reheating the Hawaiian buns and filling separately.
