The perfect basic recipe for Instant Pot black beans. Use dry beans, no soaking, no draining. Ready in about an hour.
Ingredients
- 1lb dry black beans
- 4 cups water
- Salt (about 1 tsp)
Instructions
- Rinse dry black beans under cold water in a colander. Remove any dirt or debris.
- Place beans in Instant Pot, add 4 cups of water and salt.
- Secure lid, vent closed, pressure cook (high pressure) for 30 minutes.
- When cooking time is done, let the pressure naturally release. It will take 20-30 minutes.
- When pin drops, carefully remove lid, gently stir beans.
