There’s nothing like this cozy, warm, and delicious Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal to kickstart a chilly morning. With rolled oats, fresh apples, and autumn spices, it’s effortlessly delicious.
Ingredients
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 medium apples, cored and diced
- 1½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon apple pie spice, optional
- â…› teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- Cooking spray, helps reduce sticking
- Maple syrup, to serve
Instructions
- Lightly coat the slow-cooker insert with cooking spray to help prevent sticking.
- Add rolled oats, diced apples, cinnamon, apple pie spice, salt, brown sugar, and whole milk. Stir to combine.
- Cook on HIGH for 3 hours until the oats are tender and creamy.
- Stir in the vanilla. If it’s thicker than you like, splash in a bit more warm milk to loosen.
- Spoon into bowls and top with chopped walnuts. Drizzle with maple syrup to taste.
Notes
Store any leftover apple cinnamon oatmeal in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. You can also freeze it in individual portions for up to 3 months.
