Description

There’s nothing like this cozy, warm, and delicious Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal to kickstart a chilly morning. With rolled oats, fresh apples, and autumn spices, it’s effortlessly delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 medium apples, cored and diced
  • 1½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon apple pie spice, optional
  • â…› teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • Cooking spray, helps reduce sticking
  • Maple syrup, to serve

Instructions

  1. Lightly coat the slow-cooker insert with cooking spray to help prevent sticking.
  2. Add rolled oats, diced apples, cinnamon, apple pie spice, salt, brown sugar, and whole milk. Stir to combine.
  3. Cook on HIGH for 3 hours until the oats are tender and creamy.
  4. Stir in the vanilla. If it’s thicker than you like, splash in a bit more warm milk to loosen.
  5. Spoon into bowls and top with chopped walnuts. Drizzle with maple syrup to taste.

Notes

Store any leftover apple cinnamon oatmeal in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. You can also freeze it in individual portions for up to 3 months.
