Description
This Slow Cooker Creamy Garlic Chicken is an easy, delicious dish with tender chicken in a rich garlic sauce – perfect over pasta or rice!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs diced raw chicken
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon salt and pepper mix
- 3/5 cup heavy cream (about ½ cup + 2 tablespoons)
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons fresh chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken and sear until lightly browned on all sides.
- Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, chicken stock, cornstarch, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, and salt and pepper mix.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours, or until the chicken is tender and the sauce is thickened.
- Stir before serving.
Notes
You can store this creamy garlic chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply place the chicken and sauce in a pan over medium heat until warmed through. You can also add a splash of chicken broth or water, as needed, to thin the sauce.
