Description

This easy, hands-off Honey Glazed Ham recipe is slow-cooked in a sweet-and-savory sauce and then broiled for a perfectly caramelized, crispy finish.

Ingredients

  • 5 lb boneless spiral-cut ham
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon water (for slurry)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Place the ham cut side up in the slow cooker.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ¼ cup water, and cloves. Stir and cook until the mixture begins to bubble.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water to form a slurry. Add it to the bubbling glaze and stir for about 2 minutes, until thickened.
  4. Pour the glaze evenly over the ham. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
  5. Carefully transfer the ham to a baking sheet. Broil for 3–5 minutes, until the glaze is caramelized.
  6. Slice and serve warm with extra glaze spooned over the top.

Notes

Any leftover ham can go in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can also freeze slices of ham for up to 2 months.
