This Blackberry Mule is a mocktail that skips the vodka but keeps all the traditional Moscow mule flavors, but with a delicious blackberry twist. No simple syrup needed, the fresh mint, blackberries, and lime juice give this drink a naturally sweet and refreshing taste.

Blackberry Mule, Hold the Vodka
The Moscow mule was easily one of my favorite drinks to enjoy during happy hour. But those days are behind me, and I’ve decided to dial back on drinking.
But that doesn’t mean I have to give up on enjoying tasty cocktails!
This blackberry Moscow mule recipe isn’t just a great mocktail option, it’s a fresh, flavorful twist on the classic, infused with fresh berries for a flavorful twist.

Ingredients
- Fresh blackberries: Sweet and juicy, blackberries add a burst of fruity flavor that goes SO well with ginger beer.
- Mint leaves: Refreshing and aromatic, perfect for balance. Learn How to Store Fresh Herbs to Keep Them from Wilting!
- Fresh lime juice: Adds a tangy citrus kick to brighten the drink.
- Ginger beer: Spicy and fizzy, it ties all the flavors together.
- Ice: Keeps the mule perfectly chilled.
- Mint sprig and blackberry (optional): A simple garnish to make your drink look extra fancy.

How to Make a Blackberry Mule
Grab a copper mug or glass. Add the blackberries and mint leaves and muddle together until well crushed and fragrant.
How do I muddle?
Muddling is the process of gently crushing ingredients to release their flavors into a drink. You’ll need a muddler (or wooden spoon) to gently press and twist the ingredients until they are bruised and fragrant. Easy as that!
Once you’ve got everything muddled, pour in the lime juice and top up the mug with ice. Fill the rest of the glass way with ginger beer and stir gently to combine.

Do I need a cocktail shaker?
Nope! This recipe doesn’t require a cocktail shaker. Muddling will be enough to mix the ingredients together and release their flavors.
All that’s left now is to garnish your mocktail with a sprig of mint and a blackberry. Enjoy!

Storage
This blueberry mule mocktail is made for one, but you can also make a big batch for a crowd. Leftovers can be stored in a sealed pitcher or jar in the fridge for up to 3 days, but it’s best enjoyed within 24 hours to keep the fizz and flavor.
