How to Make Baked Sweet Potato Fries

For this easy recipe, we’re going to use sweet potatoes and just a few simple ingredients to make wonderful, sweet, flavorful sweet potato fries that bake right in the oven. You don’t even have to peel sweet potatoes, the skins contain nutrients and a delicious flavor too. After we cut the sweet potatoes into 1-2 inch strips, we’ll coat them with a little oil and a few other ingredients and into the oven they go for about 25 minutes.

It seems that too often, sweet potatoes take a back seat to traditional potatoes. Regular potatoes get a lot of the spotlight when it comes to being mashed, roasted, french fried and more. But… how many times have you been to a restaurant, party or social gathering and there’s been a sweet potato dish that blows everyone away? That’s right, when sweet potatoes do get their time to shine, everyone LOVES them!

Sweet potatoes are also loaded with health benefits. They are one of the best sources for vitamin A – in the form of beta-carotene, vitamin C, potassium, fiber and more.

Oven baked sweet potato fries are an excellent side dish to so many different meals. I love them with steak most of all. They also go great with any chicken recipe, seafood, or are great just as an appetizer or snack – especially since they’re so easy to make.
