Here’s an easy recipe for air fryer pork chops, seasoned with a simple mix of Parmesan cheese, garlic and seasonings, and cooked to juicy perfection. A quick recipe you can whip up anytime for an absolutely delicious meal!
When it comes to air fryers, there’s so many versatile meals you can make. They do so much more than just “fry” food. For this recipe we’ll use bone-in pork chops that are about an inch thick, mix together some real simple ingredients and in under 10 minutes you’ll have one of the best pork chops you’ve ever made. You’re not gonna believe how good these air fryer pork chops will be!
Simple Ingredients
I think we all love recipes that are easy to make and use simple ingredients. This recipe certainly holds true to that. We start with 2 bone-in pork chops. I like to use the rib cut chops, but really any will work just fine. Our “breading” is a simple mix of grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Chances are pretty good you have most of those ingredients right now. And to bring it all together, we use 1 beaten egg.
Air fryer Pork Chops with No Breading
We start by mixing together the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Then place the mix in a shallow dish. Then use a medium bowl and crack open an egg. One egg is all you need. Beat the egg. Then dunk the pork chop into the egg. Make sure to get it all coated. Lift it out of the bowl and let any excess drip off. Then place the pork chop into the seasoning mix on both sides. Gently rub the mixture in and make sure it’s all well coated.
How Long to Cook Air fryer Pork Chops?
Just like an oven or grill, preheating the air fryer is recommended for best results. Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees. Add the seasoned pork chops then air fry for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees. When the pork chops are done they’ll be a beautiful golden color on the outside. The internal temp should be at least 145 degrees. Use an instant read thermometer to check internal doneness.
Serve and Enjoy
Your pork chops are now ready to enjoy! I love to serve with some fresh crisp salad. Some dijon mustard is also outstanding with the pork chops!

This is a ten star recipe. I have tried so many different recipes for pork chops and almost gave up on finding the perfect chops. This is it. Prepared exactly as the recipe stated and wouldn’t change a thing. They were delicious and moist and I shared the recipe with a friend who was having a picky guest for dinner and he took one bite and raved about how great they were…now she’s his favorite hostess!!! Thank you so much for simple and delicious recipes.

These are delicious as always💙

I used Italian bread crumbs and just added pepper turned out nice and moist great flavor.
Nancy
Delicious but I tweaked recipe a bit and reduced the garlic powder to 1 tsp of garlic powder. They were still plenty garlicky. Next time I would cut the salt in half as I found it was too salty for me.

I’d you use the wire rack, basket or sear pan?
RecipeTeacher
So in a standard basket or tray style air fryer, you’d use the respective tray or basket.

I make a similar recipe, but spread chop with a light coating of Dijon mustard instead of egg. Adds one more layer of flavor.
Thanks for your recipe.

Is it parmesan cheese in a bottle or fresh grated
RecipeTeacher
I use the grated Parmesan cheese in the 8oz plastic containers. But you certainly can use fresh too!

Will the cook time or temperature be different for boneless?
RecipeTeacher
It will be maybe a minute or 2 less time, depending on the thickness of the pork chop. Everything else is the same.
Lee Ann
Do you think this would be as good with boneless chops?
RecipeTeacher
Absolutely
Kimberly
Hi, I’m wondering about the cook time if I want to cook 6 pork chops at a time… they sound delicious. Thanks
RecipeTeacher
If you can fit them all in the air fryer at once, maybe just another minute or so but it should be pretty close to the same time.
