For this garlic parmesan pork chop recipe, I use bone-in pork chops that are about an inch thick. This ensures an absolutely juicy pork chop, while the air fryer keeps the cooking time low.
The flavors of the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper are all easy pantry staples, and when mixed with the Parmesan cheese, they create a delicious and savory crust on the pork chops—no breadcrumbs needed!
With all these simple elements, you’ll have a restaurant-quality meal in under 10 minutes. It may be an easy pork chop recipe, but it’s definitely but it’s showing up like the MVP on your dinner table.
Made with Simple Ingredients
- Bone-in pork chops: I like to use the rib cut chops, but really, any will work just fine. If you use boneless chops, be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly.Â
- Grated Parmesan cheese: This adds a lovely nutty, crunchy coating to the chops without needing any bread crumbs!Â
- Spice mix: Garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper are all you need to achieve the best flavor.
- Egg: This helps bind the seasoning to the pork chops.
Preparation
Start by mixing the spices together in a small bowl. Then, place the mix in a shallow dish. In a medium bowl, crack open an egg and beat it well.
Next, dunk the pork chop into the egg mixture. Make sure to get it all coated. Then, lift it out of the bowl and let any excess drip off before placing it into the seasoning mix, covering both sides. Gently rub the mixture in and make sure it’s all well coated.
Cooking
Just like an oven or grill, preheating the air fryer is recommended for best results. Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes at 400°F.
Add the seasoned pork chops, then air fry for 8-10 minutes. When the pork chops are done, they’ll be a beautiful golden brown color on the outside.Â
Pro tip: Your cook time may vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops. For accurate cooking, use an instant read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature is at least 145°F.
Serving
Your pork chops are now ready to enjoy! Make sure to let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before plating. I recommend serving these chops with Dijon mustard—it’s so good!
What to Serve with Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops
When it comes to side dishes, I love to serve the chops with a fresh, crisp salad. You also can’t go wrong with some delicious spuds! These Best Damn Mashed Potatoes or Best Damn Air Fryer SweetPotatoes bring that “wow” factor.
If you’re craving greens, my Garlic Parmesan Roasted Asparagus is the perfect pairing! And I mean, come on, everyone loves more parmesan cheese!
Storage & Reheating
Store your leftover garlic parmesan pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, you can either use a microwave or heat them in a skillet with some olive oil over medium heat.

These were the best pork chops ever!! I love bone in chops and usually fry them or grill them. Because of the high temps we’re having now I decided to do them in my air fryer. Absolutely fabulous!,l

I made this for hubby tonight. He said it was tasty and tender. I will definitely make it again! It was easy! After reading some of the comments, I doubled the parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning so I would have enough to coat both pork chops. I was afraid of the pepper, so I cut that in half. (We don’t do any type of hot or spicy in this house.) I have loved ALL your recipes, and your blog is the first place I check for recipes for the air fryer.

Made a batch of 6 of these tonight using this recipe, and everyone liked them. I just doubled the ingredients, and it took 30 minutes in the air fryer. I will make this again.

Made today doubled for four bone in chops. 20 minutes in air fryer. Perfect! Thank you! Quick, easy, and delicious
pam says
May I ask is there a way to do this in your oven?
RecipeTeacher says
Hi Pam. Your best bet would be to bake in oven at 375°F for about 15-20 min or until internal temp of 145°F. To get a nice finish, you could finish them under the broiler for a couple of minutes until golden brown.

Very good recipe! I used thick boneless chops and air fried for 8 minutes.
Michael J. Adams says
Cook time was accurate. There wasn’t enough breading to coat both chops. I’d double the amount. A little garlicky and salty for my taste
